History
1971: Promedica was established as a company servicing the
eastern states of Australia.
1982: Through an acquisition, sales and distribution were expanded to all states within Australia.
2006: Promedica was acquired by Biolab; the Scientific & Medical division of the Alesco Corporation. Promedica forms an integral part of the Medical Business Unit of Biolab, which incorporates Promedica, Jacobs Medical Australia and Medical NZ.

Position
Over the last 30 years, Promedica has established a dominant and unique position as a leading Australasian supplier of medical & surgical products to the hospital and healthcare community. Our purpose is to define and create value in all business partnerships to optimize delivery of health care solutions by identifying key growth areas and adopting strategies to expand our product range to meet those developments.

Coverage
Promedica has an unwavering commitment to supply chain and logistics excellence; ensuring we strive to deliver our customers with the most effective and efficient supply solution. We have major distribution centres in Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth,
supported by strong partnerships with our freight forwarders.
KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators) are reported on weekly across several areas to ensure we remain focussed on our goal and always improving.

Promedica has an extensive sales team of Portfolio Specialists throughout Australia, providing support for all states & territories.

Customer Service
We regard customer service as one of the most important areas of our business, and will continue to invest in initiatives that enhance this area. Pro-active customer updates are a priority:
- Order confirmations sent (email/fax) seconds after order entry
- ETA updates advised by email if ETA changes by >10 days
- Despatch alert sent 6.00pm the day goods are despatched, incorporating consignment note & tracking links to carriers

– Corpak Medsystems, Wipak, Campbells Cleantec and Cardinal Health.
